— Los Angeles Times
Christopher Reiner was born and raised in Los Angeles. His father was a real estate man, and his mother worked the perfume counter at Macy's.
He grew up listening to Randy Newman, Carole King, Todd Rundgren, and Elton John — music that showed him how complicated and contradictory emotions could be tucked into catchy pop songs.
For over ten years, he has worked with Zombie Joe's Underground Theatre Group, writing songs and musical scores for twenty-four productions (performed in New York City, Cape Town, and his home town).
Reiner has written three books of poetry and prose. His most recent book, I Want Nothing But You In The World, was published by Spuyten Duyvil press (Brooklyn) in 2016.
